This discussion about private space reminded me that after I immigrated to the US, my DC co-worker and friend told me that those of us from Eastern Europe have a messed-up understanding of private space and she always feels I am standing too close to her. I was also thinking that "the introvert" was such a popular theme on tumblr back in 2011-2012. Like it was so cool to admit that you were an introvert. I don't think this is all downstream from there but: 2010s tumblr introvert+2016 increasing polarization+2018 rise in pop psychology boundaries discourse+2020 pandemic.

Off topic, but did you two ever cover an author named Gretchen Felker-Martin. She (if that’s the correct pronoun) has a dystopian sci fi about post apocalyptic trans men hunting cis men for testosterone and being pursued by murderous TERFs. The fun part was watching character A interact with character B; in a situation Seinfeld designed to maximize difference. It was funny. Kramer was my favorite.
