It seems like at best, Jumi Bello was shoved into the publishing world *long* before she was actually ready for it -- if she ever would be. She needed a lot more grounding in how to write, and at a more basic level than an MFA program. (Also her roommates sound awful.)

Over the course of two and a half years in the city, I never got COVID. Got tested plenty, but it always came back negative. Then, over the past week, I went on vacation to the mountains where I was around other people a lot less than normal and it somehow managed to find me. Not sure whether it was the bears or the bighorn sheep that did this to me. Anyway, it basically feels like a flu for me (I'm fully vaxxed) except that my family (also fully vaxxed) is way more afraid to be around me right now than when I actually have the flu.
