On word-replacement in books published in the past;

(1) I would think historians nationwide would be having seizures over the editing of historical documents. A book is a historical “photograph” like an artifact at an archaeological site. Would an archeologist knit miniature bras and underwear to cover human nudity of statues and other artwork?

(2) Word-replacement is authoritarian “Plan A”. Plan B is to burn the book if you cannot change the words. Woke word changes do not result from “scholarly psychological research revealing harm via cause-effect.” It results from woke dictatorship control of institutions; where transparency is replaced with “top secret”, freedom of speech replaced with extreme censorship and due process replaced with retaliation. That is why the crazy ideas of Equity Program move forward. Equity program and Racial Equity Alliance (100 cities and 30 state) is source of the woke political dictatorship.

That graphic novel is about a young female person who is disgusted and repulsed by her body. In any other context, people would be rightly horrified by the implications and try to keep it as far from the gaze of teenage girls as possible. Body positivity! Except for this one thing, and then yes, your hips and tits absolutely are revolting sacks of fat and we celebrate how much you hate them.

On Dahl and antisemitism- I never heard of the guy until Fem Chaos. The only time I have ever seen woke activists acknowledge antisemitism is when I read 600 pages of State Of CA “Ethnic Studies Guidelines” at the State Board of Education (K-12) website. Antisemitism was mentioned as reason why the white USA government entered WWII late. Otherwise it is either ignored or practiced by woke city-gov or state-gov.

I have really taken the "buy physical media" think to heart over the past 5 years or so, cause of gems like this in a Chiltons truck manual (71-78) trying to get us mouth breathers to take the metric system seriously. How would you ladies feel about your measurements being 95-57-90 instead of 38-23-36? :D Great pod as always. https://i.imgur.com/JBFNeou.jpg

The first Pink Floyd single, "Arnold Layne," is about a character not unlike Sam Brinton.

Even in the seventies when I was a child Roald Dahl was seen as edgy, I think that added to his popularity, certainly with me. And then I got to see him at last with his intros to "Tales of the Unexpected", which always featured very weird stories, whether he wrote them or not, good or bad, they were a highlight of Saturday night when I was allowed to go to bed a bit later than normal!
